Once lost in time, the streets were rediscovered during the restoration of this royal arcade in West Yorkshire. In the basement, workers discovered a whole street filled with Edwardian-style shops. The street was once located at ground level but became abandoned in the 1890s. A map from 1612 also shows two substantial houses on Low Street.
The shops on the underground street still have all of their original fronts and signage. Shortly after the street was discovered, workers started to report strange things happening, such as disembodied voices talking in conversation, objects moving, doors opening and closing on their own accord, the sound of bells, footsteps walking the streets, and much more.
Will you join in uncovering who or what haunts these Victorian abandoned streets?
